Q. Will the race be chipped/timed?
A. ARE Event Productions will be timing the race. The results will include both GUN and NET time.
Q. Are there awards?
A. Yes. The awards will break down as follows:

Please be present at 10:00AM for the awards ceremony.
AGE GROUPS
All overall winners are included in their age groups. (There IS duplication). As such, the results will accurately show everyone's placement in their division.The Top 3 Male and Female finishers in each age group (based on NET time) will
receive an award at the ceremony taking place at 10A.
Age Group Awards will be given out at the results kiosk.

Q. Will this event provide finishers a medal?
A. All half marathon finishers receive a medal at the finish line.

Q. Does the Race provide registration insurance?
A. Yes, for an additional $16 at your time of registration, you can insure your registration. This provides for a NO QUESTIONS ASKED refund of your entry fee with a deadline of Thursday 9/17. The request must be made as an email to info@zippyreg.com by that date. This insurance expires at 11:59:59PM ET on Thursday, 9/17/2026 and refunds will not be granted for requests made after that time.
Q. May someone else pick up my packet?
A. Yes, someone else may pick up your packet with your permission and a copy of your photo ID. Alternatively, you can pick up for someone else without their ID if they forward you their Bib Assignment email (the email sent race week with their bib number and name).
Q. When is the last day I can register for the race?
A. The last day to register will be September 19, 2026 by 6PM at packet pickup.
Q. Where can I park?
START LINE – Canfield Casino in Congress Park – 1 East Congress Street
Parking will not be available in the park so please plan to park at one of the following garages or on side streets nearby.

Q. Can I wear headphones?
A. It is strongly discouraged, but permitted, for runners to use headphones while racing. The course is open and used by other runners, walkers, cyclists and vehicles making it important that each participant be aware of their surroundings.
Q. Are you providing cups at the water stops?
A. Yes, cups will be available for you to grab your liquid refreshment.
We will have 5 Water stop:
WS 1: ~Mile 2 - water only
WS 2: ~ Mile 5 - water only
WS 3: ~ Mile 7.5 - water and NUUN hydration
WS 4: ~ Mile 10 - water and NUUN hydration
WS 5: ~ Mile 11.5 - water only
Q. May I wear/use a hydration pack during the race?
A. Yes, hydration packs are permissible and encouraged.
Q. What drink and nutritional supplement will be available on the course?
A. Water and NUUN hydration infused water will be provided at each of the 5 hydration stop. We will have cups filled with these liquids for you to take. Check back later for any additional nutritional items that may be available.
Q. Is there medical help available on the course?
A.Yes. There will be an EMT stationed along the course and at the finish line. There are amateur radio operators at every water stop who can relay messages to the finish area as well as hydration stop captains. Road marshals have cell phones
available to call 911 if a medical emergency occurs on the course.
Q. Are there portable toilets on the course?
A. Yes, there will be a limited number of portable potties in the Spring Street lot at the start line. Please plan to use a bathroom before arriving to minimize your wait time at the start. Portable toilets will be available at the water stops and finish line.
Q. Can I run with a stroller, skates, my dog, etc.?
No – unless otherwise authorized by the race. For additional questions or requests, please reach out to info@irunlocal.com to discuss race exceptions.
Q. Can I get a refund if I cannot attend the race after registering?
A. There are no refunds. The only exception is if you purchase registration insurance (and then you are still subject to the 9/17 deadline explained below). If you do NOT purchase registration insurance, your entry fee is non-refundable. If you still desire some method to recoup some of your entry and you do not purchase registration insurance, you can
try to find someone to transfer your entry to. For $16, paid at the time of registration, you can insure your registration which provides for a no questions asked refund of your fee paid (not including the $16 nor the processing fee) that simply requires you email us at info@zippyreg.com prior to the deadline of 11:59:59PM ET on Thursday, 9/17. It will be refunded without having to provide a reason. This insurance does not apply for requests made after 12AM ET on Friday, 9/18.
Q. Can I transfer my bib/registration to another person?
A. Yes. The person who wants to transfer their bib can manage the transfer through the Registration Portal. There is a button to “Transfer Registration”. Upon agreeing to the terms, they are given a (transfer) code to share with the person replacing them. That new person uses that code when registering to only pay the transfer fee of $15 to run the race.
Q. Is there a course cutoff time?
A. Yes. Participants must complete the course in 3.5 hours or less.

Q. Will there be photos taken during the race? Will they be available for review and purchase?
A. Yes, each runner will have access to their photos
Q. Where are the best for spectators to watch?
A few suggested cheer areas:
Along Nelson Ave between miles 1-2
The steepest hill will be in Spa State Park between miles 6-7. Cheering at the Hall of Springs/Reflecting Pool field would be great
Between Miles 8-9 along Beekman Street
Along East Ave ~ Mile 10
Along Henning Road ~Mile 11
